, two examples collected by Walter Rose on the Cape Flats near Cape Town, an adult male and a juvenile”. These

were not in a labeled
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FE77FB1EFE2AFB5A" box="[406,454,1203,1227]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
bottle when forwarded to PEM, and neither were they X-rayed along with the other AMG amphibian
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FEBEFB7AFE72FB7E" box="[351,414,1239,1263]" pageId="16">types</typeStatus>
. However, the PEM collection contains three specimens received from the AMG with the same collection details recorded in the
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FDABFB56FD96FA82" box="[586,634,1275,1299]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
description. They do not have original AMG numbers, but had been reaccessioned (AMA 4975). The ventral markings of a juvenile in the putative AMG
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FBA9FAB2FB94FAA6" box="[1096,1144,1311,1335]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
specimens (PEM A4963) matches that illustrated in the
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FE0AFAEEFDF7FACA" box="[491,539,1347,1371]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
description (Pl. XV,

), and to stabilise this confusion it is here designated as the

) noted for the adult male in the
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FF21FA26FF1CFA32" box="[192,240,1419,1443]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
description, and this is thus the
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FDB9FA27FD1FFA32" box="[600,755,1418,1443]" pageId="16" type="paralectotype">paralectotype</typeStatus>
. The third specimen is a smaller, damaged metamorph (PEM A4964, previously AMG 4975), that is not mentioned in the
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FCDEFA02FC83FA56" box="[831,879,1455,1479]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
description, but bears the same collecting details. It is not considered to form part of the
<typeStatus id="79618855EF1AFFA7FDA9FA7EFD94FA7A" box="[584,632,1491,1515]" pageId="16">type</typeStatus>
series, but may be considered topotypical additional material.
