Albury is close to the current western distributional boundary of the Greater Glider (see distribution map of Burbidge & Woinarski, 2016) and it is conceivable that the species distribution was more extensive along the riparian corridor of the Murray River at the time of Mitchell’s visit, before extensive European modification from intensive clearing and grazing by stock.
