Antennal club elongated, much longer than funiculus but shorter than funiculus and scape combined.

. Pronotal margins thick, especially lateral ones bearing a few long setae in their anterior part. Lateral borders regularly curved, anterolateral angles almost right, posterolateral angles obtuse. Basal margin prominent in middle. Punctation large and sparse, bearing short and adpressed setae similar to those on head. Prosternal apophyse strong between posterior edge of procoxae, its anterior edge forming a spine-shaped prominence.

. Striae indistinguishable. Elytra with slightly raised, narrow stripes (“odd interstriae”), much narrower than flat “even interstriae”, however this sculpture is poorly defined. Punctation much denser than that on pronotum and head, punctures evenly distributed, bearing short, adpressed setae, a little longer and thick, scale-like setae near apex. Sides with a continuous row of numerous long setae being shorter near apex.

. Strongly convex. Surface with rough aspect due to microreticulate tegument and superficial, dense, more or less coalescent punctures. Short adpressed setae present only basally, in apical part and on sides; disc glabrous. A few long, flexuous, raised setae in middle of apical part and a row along middle of posterior margin.
