Ovate to elongate-ovate; widest at body whorl; apex not acuminate. Dextral; thin-shelled; solid; opaque; dull or glossy; with 6.875–7.500 whorls. Height 12.7–13.1, diam. maj. 5.6–6.1; height/diam. maj. 2.10–2.33. Whorls with spiral grooves only near umbilical region; slightly convex. Growth lines fine and clear, densely arranged and sometimes broken into chains of granulations. Embryonic whorls 1.5; smooth; polished. Suture simple. Last whorl more or less gradually ascending toward aperture; rounded at periphery. Aperture height 4.5– 5.1, width 3.7–4.3. Aperture roundedly triangular; its insertions widely separated; slightly oblique. Shell height/ aperture height 2.52–2.92. Palatal margin rounded (or slightly concave). Palatal margin with two teeth, a stronger one in the middle and a weaker one near the insertion; both teeth tubercular, conical, not extended inward as a fold. Peristome slightly expanded; considerably thickened. Parietal callus indistinct. Angular tubercle and parietal tooth present, connected or narrowly separate. Palatal wall toothless. Columellar margin reflexed; columella vertical; with one tubercular tooth. Outer edge of columellar lip arched. Umbilicus very narrowly open. Shell, including apical whorls, light yellowish-brown, with a narrow white zone just beneath the suture; aperture white.

This species is distinguishable from the other species of the genus by the presence of two palatal teeth. Besides, its angular tubercle is the most distinctly developed in the genus and is close to or connected with the parietal tooth.
