DIAGNOSIS: Recognized by the partly yellow antennal segments I and II, hemelytra dark brown, femora at least partly yellow, tibiae yellow, evaporatorium dark brown, bristlelike setae on head, pronotum longer than diameter of eye, antennal segment I with numerous bristlelike setae, aedeagus without spicules (fig. 8), and dorsal labiate plate without medial sclerites (fig. 16). : Dark brown, with yellowish spot near inner margin and whitish yellow stripe along posterior margin of eye; maxillary plate often with pale brown or yellowish stripe below antennal fossa; antennal segment I yellow to dirty yellow, darker at base; antennal segment II yellowish, with more or less darkened apical two thirds; antennal segments III and IV dark brown; labium dark brown.

SURFACE AND VESTITURE: Head and pronotum shiny, smooth, only basal part of pronotum somewhat rugose; hemelytra smooth, matt. Dorsum, pleurites and abdomen clothed with scalelike silver setae (as in figs. 22 A-C, E, 23 A, D); antennal segments II-IV, entire dorsum, coxae, femora, and tibiae with long, erect, dark bristlelike setae, those on head and pronotum somewhat longer than setae on hemelytra and appendages, somewhat longer than diameter of eye, antennal segment I with numerous erect, dark, bristlelike setae. STRUCTURE AND MEASUREMENTS: Body 3.1–3.5× as long as width of pronotum.
