The adult animals are olive green dorsally with the ventral surfaces yellow. The chelipeds and ambulatory legs are pale yellow. The black colouration seen in the photographs is due to the black sediment that has strongly adhered to the exoskeleton. The thick spongy tomentum of the ambulatory legs is usually brown (
