Separated from other hemerobiid genera by the following combination of characters: crossveins 2sc-r, 4r-m, 4im, 4m-cu absent in forewing; outer gradate series of crossveins absent in hind wing.

Although characters of the male genitalia are not known in this species (this only known specimen is female), we confidently assign it to the genus
