This new species can easily be distinguished from its congeners by the strikingly colored forewing with carmine-pink streaks on dark ground. The superficial appearance, especially the pink markings and the falcate forewing apex, reminds one of the

is round with the elongated apical ciliation. The male genitalia are unusual in the genus as the juxta is not divided into two lobes. ). Wingspan 9.5–10.0 mm. Head white to cream. Labial palpus mixed white and light orange; segment III slightly longer than II, dark fuscous ventrally and apically. Antenna with scape white to cream; flagellum dark brown except basal half of dorsal surface white to cream, male cilia shorter than diameter. Thorax carmine-pink, with a fuscous median streak. Tegula pink anteriorly mixed with cream and light orange, anterior edge black. Forewing ground color fuscous, with distal 1/4 strongly mixed with ochre; a very slender, light orange streak running from base to near apex along costa; a short, carmine-pink costal streak at distal 1/5 of wing, its base cream, tinged outwardly with black; apical spot small, surrounded by carmine-pink scales; four carmine-pink longitudinal streaks running from base to near apex: first streak near costa, very slender, broadened distally and curved toward tornus, nearly meets former costal streak; second streak above fold, broad, gradually attenuated distally, not reaching former; third streak below fold, broad, gradually attenuated distally, broadly interrupted beyond middle by ochreous scales extending from dorsum, curved toward apex from distal 1/4 of wing and confluent with costal streak and first longitudinal streak; fourth streak running along basal half of dorsum, somewhat indistinct; termen carmine-pink; fringe on apical area dark fuscous with base cream, falcate; fringe on termen carmine-pink, with a coarse, metallic black terminal band; fringe on dorsum brown. Hindwing dark grey, subapex mixed cream and pink, black at apex; fringe brown except apical area cream with a terminal black band. Legs white to cream, slightly mixed with light orange; fore femur, tibia and tarsus black on outer surface; mid tibia slightly tinged with black at base; hind tibia with a short, black, oblique streak near apex; mid and hind tarsi with first tarsomere black at middle, remaining tarsomeres ringed with black basally.

). Uncus rectangular, slightly widening toward apex. Gnathos hook simple, moderately long. Tegumen approximately 3 times as long as uncus. Valva with costa broadly convex in basal half, inner margin nearly straight before apex, distal 1/4 slightly broadened and densely setose. Anellus lobe slender and digitate, 1/4 length of valva; apical bristle straight, 1/2 length of anellus lobe. Juxta with a single merged lobe, broad, subrectangular, lateral margins with a short and setose projection. Vinculum simple and slender. Saccus short, subtriangular, not exceeding tegumen pedunculus.
