group is superficially characterized by the division of the forewing into a dark brownish-gray outer half and a pale white or buff inner half; a prominent, single, subapical white patch on the costa; a large, rounded, partially blue-filled reniform spot, and an orbicular spot usually reduced to black upper and lower arcs.
