<paragraph id="F148F1D124C3930D3E2FC20D36AA9DEE" pageId="6" pageNumber="161">The species epithet is from the Latin meridionale meaning southern, referring to Lompobatang located at the southernmost Sulawesi.</paragraph>

(male). Dorsal and ventral surface almost dark reddish-brown to brown (Fig. 5d). Antennae almost yellowish-brown, but antennomeres

blackish. Femora from apical sixth to base darker than tibiae; tibiae reddish-brown to brown; tarsi paler than tibiae. Head, pronotum, and elytra sparsely and finely pubescent.

Punctuation fine and sparse as on pronotum. Sutural striae interrupted at basal third.</paragraph>

Metanepisternum about four times as long as wide, without longitudinal line. Mesepimeron concealed. Metacoxa about six times as wide as metacoxal process. Ventrite I sparsely and finely punctate.</paragraph>
