<taxonomicName class="Insecta" family="Mydidae" genus="Vespiodes" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Vespiodes" order="Diptera" pageId="12" pageNumber="45" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Vespiodes</taxonomicName>
are known from the Afrotropical Region occurring from Ghana in the north-west to north-eastern South Africa in the south (
