<paragraph id="8BD236D343177363FF71FD8F71209C45" blockId="17.[166,794,318,790]" pageId="17" pageNumber="98">Ecology and distribution: This is a widespread brackish-water species, found even in rivers with high salt content. In Potter Cove, it was one of the common species that was found in all samples examined. It has been reported as a sea-ice diatom from the Arctic (Brown et al. 2014).</paragraph>
