General color light to deep fuscous, sometimes with black markings and/or large translucent spots on forewings; head narrower than pronotum; crown very narrow, narrower than width of eyes, anterior margin produced beyond anterior margin of eyes; lateral margins carinate; pronotum and mesonotum small, length of each shorter than crown; clypeus long, narrow; male pygofer with paired caudal processes; subgenital plate always pilose; aedeagus tubular, with shaft between base and subapex always glabrous, apex with 13 spines.</paragraph>

The genus is distinguished from

by the small pronotum and mesotum, and by the glabrous shaft of the aedeagus between base and subapex.
