Medium size, robust species. General color black with yellow markings. Forewing black with translucent transverse, broad bands; mesonotum black with yellow markings; pronotum black with yellow broken band on anterior margin, broken, transverse, submarginal yellow line on posterior margin; crown black, longitudinal yellow stripe medially and next to eyes, face black; clypeus with broad longitudinal yellow stripe medially and laterally extending nearly to apex of clypellus (

Head narrower than pronotum, anterior margin obtusely angulate; crown broad, nearly as wide as width of eyes, produced distally about ¼ entire length, lateral margins convergent basally, slightly elevated; eyes large, semiglobular; pronotum slightly longer than median length of crown; mesonotum large, about twice as long as pronotum; forewings typical; clypeus long, broad, lateral margins broadly convex, broader basally than apically; clypellus broad, inflated basally, lateral margins constricted medially.
