Eyes bare, frons length 1.2–1.3 times of facial height, vertex at narrowest point about equal to anterior ocellar width, frons less than 1/12 of eyes width or about 0.4 of postpedicel width; frontal vitta black, linear at narrowest point from anterior to posterior part; Parafacial bare, about as wide as postpedicel, its inner and outer margins nearly paralleled, facial carina broad and high, upper surface flat, completely separating antennae; lower margin of facial protruding forward, visible in lateral view. Genal height 1/5–1/6 of eyes height, lower margin of gena nearly flat. Occiput with wholly black hairs or setulae, strongly inflated on posteroventral half. Postocular setulae slender and proclinate; 12 to 16 frontal setae slender, lowest one at level of scape base, upper one at narrowest point of frontal vitta, ocellar setae slender, 4–6 postocellar setae, inner vertical seta and outer vertical seta long hair-like, about as long as postocular setae; facial ridge with 3–4 setae lower 1/4, many slender subvibrissae present below slender vibrissa. Antenna short, black, situated at level of lower 3/7 of eyes falling to lower margin face about as long as pedicel; postpedicel 1.5–1.8 times as long as wide, 1.2–1.4 times as long as pedicel, outer dorsal surface of pedicel with 1 slender seta which nearly as long as antenna. Arista slightly longer than antenna, basal 1/3 thickened, pubescent, strongest aristal hairs slightly more than basal diameter width. Palpus black and short, 4–6 times as long as wide, its apex with 2 long setae which longer than palpi. Prementum and labellum specially elongated and nearly equal length and 1.14–1.17 times of head height.

Thorax black in ground color, with brownish gray pruinosity, 4 longitudinal thin black vittae on presutural scutum, postpronotal lobe and postalar callus black in ground color, 2 presutural and 2 postsutural acrostichal setae, 2 presutural and 3 postsutural dorsocentral setae, 0 presutural and 1–2 postsutural intra–alar setae, 1 short prealar seta, 2 supra-alar setae, 3 slender postpronotal setae arranged in a straight line. Scutellum black, with 2 pairs of marginal setae, apical scutellar setae crossed, which longer than scutellum; prosternum and proepisternum bare, 1 seta on upper front part of anepisternum and a row 6–7 setae on hind part of that, anterior and posterior thoracic spiracles dark brown and small, posterior lappets of the latter U-shaped. 2 slender hair-like anepimeral setae, at most to hind margin of upper calypters, 2 katepisternal setae, katatergite bare, meron with 3–4 slender setae on upper hind part.
