) short and thick; antenniferous tubercles with a small lateral acute protuberance; anteocular portion approximately three times longer than postocular, the latter somewhat wider than the former. Antenna short, inserted toward apex of head; antennal segment I much shorter than the anteocular part of head, enlarged, and mainly toward apex; segment II the longest, lightly curved; segments III and IV very thin, slender. Rostrum: segment I moderately inflated; segment II thinner toward apex; segment III slender, tapering, reaching stridulatory sulcus on anterior portion. Thorax: prothorax divided by a shallow furrow between anterior and posterior lobes of pronotum; anterior lobe with sinuate tomentose ridges and narrow smooth glabrous areas between them; posterior lobe with a pair of submedian carinae, which is divergent toward posterior margin; humeral angles elevated, rounded. Scutellum subtriangular, with a median shallow depression on basal portion. Prosternum larger on anterior portion, with a pair of prosternal spines anteriorly; metasternum larger than mesosternum, which is larger than prosternum. Fore coxae inserted at hind margin of prosternum, contiguous in midline; hind coxae distant from each other; fore trochanters with few spines on ventral face. Fore femora strongly incrassate, fusiform, armed with a row of thick and short spines on midline, ventrally. Fore tibiae curved. Fore tarsi two-segmented, others three-segmented.
