(original citation). Holotype (♂) in ZMUA (Boer 2002: 100). Etymology. The specific name was proposed for Hans Friedrich Roeschke [1867-1934], a German physician by profession and carabidologist by avocation. Roeschke left his carabid collection (mostly members of the subfamily

) to the German neurologist, brain researcher, and entomologist Oskar Vogt [1870-1959].
