Medium-sized elongated, amplete and almost equivalve carapace. Slight overlap of the larger LV over the RV along the free margins, more pronounced ventrally. Hmax median; Lmax at 1/3 dorsal; Wmax at midlength and 1/3 dorsal of Hmax. Straight hinge line and dorsal margin. Cardinal angles of about 115°. Well rounded free margins, with anterior and posterior margins more arched than the ventral one. Posterior part of the carapace slightly higher than the anterior one. Shoulder in the postero-dorsal part. Central well rounded node on both valves, at mid-length and 1/3 dorsal of Hmax. Well-developed inner and outer carinas longing the ventral margin. Surface reticulated.
