This Nearctic species is distinguished by the following combination of characters: head width less than 1.3× wider than the mesosoma; facial pit present; sternaulus absent; mesopostscutellum present; transverse striations on the ventral metapleural area absent; proximodorsal notch of the cupula present and U-shaped, longer than wide; proximal end of the dorsomedian conjunctiva of the gonostylevolsella complex shape acute; and dorsomedian projection of the gonostylevolsella complex absent.
