superficially. It can be distinguished by the hindwing purplish brown entirely, the cucullus subacute at apex, and the aedeagus lacks cornutus; in the latter two species, the hindwing is pale-colored around apex, the apex of the cucullus is rounded, and the aedeagus bears cornuti.

Hindwing purplish brown; fringe greyish black. Legs orange yellow.
