south of El Dorado, El Dorado Co., California. According to the records published by

, this subspecies primarily occupies a compact area of the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada, from southernmost El Dorado Co. to Yosemite National Park in Mariposa Co.

respectively) from the northern end of the main distribution in El Dorado Co. It may be that further collecting will link these populations with the more coherent Sierra Nevada distribution. At the northern end of the Sierra Nevada part of its range it is sympatric and sometimes syntopic with
