This species has been described upon a single specimen declared to be a female, but

); legs and antennae brownish, sometimes paler, rather short and robust; head broad, with mandibles nearly as long as the rest of the head; pronotum anteriorly broad, with lateral margins markedly constricted and very shortly sinuate towards the base; elytra rather narrow, oval, with striae rather shallow, slightly shallower towards the sides; shoulders angulose and with a small but evident tooth. Median lobe of aedeagus with apical portion almost as long as basal portion; in lateral view subsinuate before apex, in dorsal view constricted and short, and with a very small tooth on the left side (
