Calcareous ring simple, without posterior bifurcation of the radial plates; test absent; body wall ossicles non-contiguous, comprising simple tables with mostly trilocular to multilocular smooth disc, with a solid or 3-pillared spire ending in 23 (sometimes 4), smooth or toothed processes.</paragraph>

In the diagnosis of their new family, the authors state that the spire of the table ends in 23 smooth, diverging processes. Ludwig &amp; Hedings description of the tables is not clear and no tables could be found in the still extant

. However, in the current specimens it appears that
