The species name honours our dear colleague Rainer Foelix who provided excellent photographs of the so-called “pipette setae” for this study. Moreover, his text book on the biology of spiders is one of the famous books which is known worldwide and piqued the second author’s curiosity about spiders; noun (name) in genitive case.
