Subshrub with hirsute indumentum. Young branches and leaves covered with stellate porrect trichomes; the porrect (central) ray much longer than the lateral rays. Inflorescences densely congested and axis reduced. The calyx of pistillate flowers is foliaceous and has 6 to 8 sepals. The species belongs to sect.
