This lineage includes nine species recorded from the Iberian Peninsula characterized by a small, relatively slender, and weakly convex (cross-section) body of pale-reddish to reddish colouration, eyes completely reduced or with one or two ommatidia, unmodified male protibiae, and a robust aedeagus with distinct internal structures and slender parameres with a short apical seta. Species of this group have been attributed to the subgenus
