NW Vietnam: Lao Cai, Hoa Binh. Wide spread outside Vietnam (from India to Japan) and a parasitoid of
<taxonomicName family="Tortricidae" lsidName="" pageId="70" pageNumber="71" rank="family">Tortricidae</taxonomicName>
. The specimen from Hoa Binh belongs to
<taxonomicName class="Insecta" family="Braconidae" genus="Lytopylus" higherTaxonomySource="GBIF" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Lytopylus romani subsp. f var. ebulus" order="Hymenoptera" pageId="70" pageNumber="71" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="variety" species="romani" subSpecies="f" variety="ebulus">Lytopylus romani f. ebulus</taxonomicName>
(Nixon, 1950), because it has the pronotum, mesoscutum, scutellum and mesopleuron reddish or orange-brown (Fig. 217), which are black in the typical form (Figs 214, 215).
