: Shell strong, with paucispiral protoconch. The sculpture on the teleoconch whorls consists of thick axial ribs (9 ribs on the body whorl) and frequently located weak spiral striae. Posterior sinus deep, labial varix moderately developed. The species is characteristic with its paucispiral protoconch and fine spiral striae on the teleoconch whorls, and thick axial ribs.
