This species is represented by just five individuals recorded at three sites in northern

, which constitute the second record of this species for

). Little is known about the ecology of this species in Southern Africa and only a few specimens have been collected in the region. Peak echolocation frequencies ranged between 130.5 (Pettersson D240x,

= 1) and 132136 kHz (ANABAT,
