Vigorous trailing perennial herb; rootstock, woody, forked; stems angled, obscurely bifariously puberulent, glabrescent. Leaves shortly petiolate, 3-7.5

Inflorescence of (1-)3(-5)-flowered axillary cymes; peduncles 1.5-9 cm, glabrous to very thinly pubescent; secondary peduncles (when present) 7-8 mm; bracteoles 1.5

Molecular data suggest the two species are not closely related.
