This species is distinct in having the long epiphallus on the posterodorsal margin of the basiphallus, which is usually not found in the Palearctic species of this genus. The very short and wide male 5th abdominal sternite is also characteristic of this species. A medium-sized or rather small species; body black in ground color, apex of scutellum reddish yellow, with dense gray-white pruinosity throughout; 2 presutural acrostichal setae; 3 postsutural dorsocentral setae; 3 katepisternal setae; anatergite bare; apical scutellar setae absent; tibiae yellowish; wing without brown tinge along r-m crossvein.
