—This species has oblanceolate fronds with pinnae either tapering to the petiole base, or with the basal pinna pair remote from the rest of the lamina, as if the pinnae in between had been removed. Trunkless sterile plants may further lack the basal pinnae, resulting in ± triangular laminae on long petioles.
