<taxonomicName class="Arachnida" family="Lycosidae" genus="Acantholycosa" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Acantholycosa norvegica" order="Araneae" pageId="5" pageNumber="6" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="norvegica">Acantholycosa norvegica</taxonomicName>
is the type species of the genus. It has been well described in several publications. This species has a trans-Palaearctic range. Although it has a wide range and is known from the adjacent Khabarovsk Province (

Province. It is worth mentioning that the record from Maritime Province is the southernmost of its known range.
