. Head with dense, grayish-white pruinosity, more whitish on lower parafacial and gena, dark grayish on occiput; antenna black except dark brown arista; palpus black. Nearly holoptic, eyes close in front of ocellar triangle; frons at narrowest point about 1/12 of head width; eye bare; face about 2/3 as long as frons in profile; parafacial wide, about twice as wide as postpedicel; gena about 0.4 of eye height, without genal dilation. Inner vertical seta fine, 2/5 as long as eye height; prevertical and proclinate orbital setae absent; 89 frontal setae on lower 2/3 of frons; fronto-orbital plate with rather dense, long, black hairs on lower 2/3; parafacial with 34 rows of rather dense, long, black hairs; gena with a row of several fine short, black hairs on lower margin; occiput with dense, black hairs, pale yellowish-white hairs confined to narrow ventromedian portion. Base of antenna nearly level with lower 1/3 of eye height; antenna falling short of lower margin of face by about length of pedicel; pedicel with a long seta about 4/5 as long as postpedicel; postpedicel about 3 times as long as pedicel; arista short plumose, total width including plumosity less than 1/2 of width of postpedicel. Palpus nearly as long as postpedicel.

Thorax black in ground color, with thin, grayish pruinosity, a broad dark brownish median longitudinal vitta visible on postsutural scutum when seen from behind. Zero or 1 presutural and 1 postsutural acrostichal setae; 2 presutural and 3 postsutural dorsocentral setae; 2 postsutural intra-alar setae; 2 katepisternal setae; scutellum with 3 pairs of marginal setae, basal setae about 1.5 times as long as scutellum and apical setae slightly shorter than basal setae.

Abdomen black in ground color, with grayish-white pruinosity on 3rd to 5th tergites, the pruinosity dense on anterior 1/3 of 3rd tergite, rather dense on anterior 1/3 of 4th tergite and thin on other dorsal portions; broad middorsal brownish longitudinal vitta distinct on 3rd to 5th tergites. Rather short fusiform; syntergite 1+2 with a pair of median discal setae, 12 lateral discal setae and a row of marginal setae; 3rd to 5th tergites each with a row of strong marginal setae a row of discal setae; 5th sternite with posterior lobe rather strongly and sharply pointed at postero-interior corner.

: Sixth tergite concave on posterior margin, without hairs; surstylus rather broad and evenly narrowed to apex in lateral view, with rather long hairs; cerci in dorsal view broad along basal 1/3 then strongly narrowed to apex, suture distinct along basal 5/6 and narrowly separated along apical 1/6, in lateral view concave along basal 1/3 then curved ventrally, apex weakly reflexed; pregonite nearly flat; epiphallus about 1/2 as long as basiphallus, distiphallus with dorsal sclerite strongly curved posteriorly at apex, apical membranous portion nearly as long as basal sclerotized portion.

Differing from male as follows: Head dichoptic; vertex about 0.29 of head width; inner vertical setae strong, nearly parallel to each other, about 4/5 as long as eye height; outer vertical seta well developed, about 2/3 as long as inner vertical seta; ocellar setae about 1/2 as long as inner vertical seta; 1 outwardly-directed prevertical seta, slightly longer than outer vertical seta; 2 proclinate orbital setae, anterior seta slightly longer than inner vertical seta and subequal in length to outer vertical seta; hairs on fronto-orbital plate and parafacial rather shorter and sparser; gena about 0.5 of eye height; postpedicel about 2.5 times as long as pedicel; claws and pulvilli distinctly shorter than 5th tarsomere; abdomen shiny black, with dense, whitish pruinosity on narrow anterolateral portion of 3rd tergite and thin, whitish pruinosity on narrow anterolateral margin of 4th tergite.

: 6th tergite about 1.5 times as long as 7th, narrowly divided mid-dorsally into hemitergites, with a row of strong hairs marginally; 6th sternite with short setae on posterior margin; 7th tergite divided into nearly rectangular hemitergites, with a few setae; 7th sternite about 2/3 as long as 6th sternite, with a row of short marginal setae; 8th hemitergite rather long on upper portion, fused with hypoproct posteromedially, very short on lower portion and fused with 8th sternite.
