Climbing up to 27 m in height; branchlets terete, 3-5 mm in diameter, sparsely furfuraceous with minute red-brown hairs; nodes swollen, with interpetiolar line; internodes 2-7 cm long. Leaves: petioles terete, 5-15 mm long, striate, glabrescent; blades ovate or ovate-elliptic, 4.2-11
