Cells are Gram-stain-positive and filamentous. Colonies are with irregular edges and white colored after incubation for 3 days at 30℃. Positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis and β-galactosidase; but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatin hydrolysis and cytochrome oxidase. D-Glucose, D-mannose, D-mannitol,
<emphasis id="0EA1AA146B7205252ECEFA24FDE59EEF" box="[498,516,1474,1497]" italics="true" pageId="5" pageNumber="6">N</emphasis>
-acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid and malic acid are utilized as sole carbon sources; but not L-arabinose, capric acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain XY6 (
<emphasis id="0EA1AA146B7205252E27F9A4FECE9D6C" bold="true" box="[283,303,1602,1626]" pageId="5" pageNumber="6">=</emphasis>
NIBRBAC000506149) was isolated from a wetland sample from
<collectingRegion id="FE11B8E46B7205252EAAF985FE369D4D" box="[406,471,1635,1659]" country="South Korea" name="Seoul" pageId="5" pageNumber="6">Seoul</collectingRegion>
. The GenBank accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain XY6 is MW164955.
