Climbing up to 15 m in height. Branchlets terete, 3-4 mm in diameter, glabrous; nodes swollen, with crest-like interpetiolar ridge; internodes 7-11 cm long. Leaves: petioles terete, 1.3-1.8 cm long, glabrous; blades broadly ovate, 8.5-11.5
