This species differs from all congeners in having very large, brown eyes, very dense, large and deep punctures on the vertex and frons, impressed apices of elytra bearing modified setae, and unique aedeagus with very simple internal armature, very long apical part of median lobe, and extremely long apical setae on parameres.

Head strongly transverse, broadest at eyes, HL 0.15, HW 0.23; occipital constriction as broad as 2/3 of vertex; tempora long, strongly convergent posteriorly, weakly arcuate; vertex and frons regularly rounded; supraantennal tubercles weakly raised but distinct; eyes very large, strongly convex, nearly circular, coarsely faceted, located slightly posterior to middle of head. Vertex and frons covered with very dense, deep, large and sharply marked punctures separated by spaces about equal to puncture diameters; setae short, sparse and suberect, except those on posterior margin of vertex and tempora, which are slightly longer and thicker, and strongly erect posteriorly.
