DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT.

</emphasis>
is known only from the
<typeStatus id="54CA8829C36AFFC4FE108DEE8B6FFE25" box="[489,535,453,479]" pageId="3" pageNumber="36">type</typeStatus>
locality at the Masoala Peninsula in the northeastern part of
<collectingCountry id="F366761BC36AFFC4FF888E288982FDE7" box="[113,250,515,541]" name="Madagascar" pageId="3" pageNumber="36">Madagascar</collectingCountry>
. It was found in humid evergreen forest on laterite at
<quantity id="4C899B6EC36AFFC4FEA18E0988ECFDC1" box="[344,404,545,572]" metricMagnitude="1" metricUnit="m" metricValue="5.0" pageId="3" pageNumber="36" unit="m" value="50.0">50 m</quantity>
altitude in flower in November. It differs from all other species of the genus by its well-developed thread-like and somewhat club-shaped prolonged connectives in combination with very small and erect cylindric corona lobes, which do not exceed the thecae.
