. The species is only known from one locality near Venterstad in the
<collectingRegion id="49B5F872FF928B58FED9FF24FDF4F0A2" box="[348,606,223,249]" country="South Africa" name="Eastern Cape" pageId="52" pageNumber="53">Eastern Cape province</collectingRegion>
. Specimen collected from a flat plain with sandy soil. The vegetation was dominated by typical Karoo shrubs and buffalo grass.
