locality indicated in Figure 36. It has been collected near Somerset East in the
<collectingRegion id="49B5F872FF898B43FF12F887FE31F7CE" box="[151,411,1915,1942]" country="South Africa" name="Eastern Cape" pageId="47" pageNumber="48">Eastern Cape province</collectingRegion>
. The location was a flat between small hills. The vegetation was dominated by low shrubs and aloe plants. The soil was very hard, chalky and pale. The specimen was found in a deep vertical burrow (approx.
<quantity id="4C899B75FF898B43FF12F838FF76F785" box="[151,220,1987,2014]" metricMagnitude="-1" metricUnit="m" metricValue="3.0" pageId="47" pageNumber="48" unit="cm" value="30.0">30 cm</quantity>
deep), which angled slightly near the bottom.
