Members of this group share the following character states: mentum with sides

straight, tooth narrow and not reaching apices of lobes, paramedian foveal pits small; lateral depressions of pronotum without or with poorly impressed meshed microsculpture; disc of pronotum without meshed microsculpture; posterior angles of pronotum right to slightly obtuse, not denticulate; elytra without orange spot at apical fourth around suture; elytral microsculpture striate, lines indistinct; epipleuron with subapical plica; metasternum and metepisternum with few but coarse punctures; metasternum without constriction medially at level of posterior edges of mesocoxae; tarsomeres 5 with setae underneath; endophallus without sclerotized ring; body size small (SBL
