A new record for the Maltese Islands. It is a cosmopolitan parthenogenetic species, common in nature in the Mediterranean Region but rare in Central and Northern Europe. The species is often found in human habitation and in warehouses where foodstuffs are stored, whereas in nature it is generally found in leaf litter and tufts of dry grass (
