Ants of comparatively medium size. Mandibles subfalcate. Median portion of clypeus modified, raised as a short, blunt triangular point projecting from the antennal insertions to the mandible. Frontal lobe expanded, extending from the clypeal posterior margin to the vertex. Antennal scrobe wide and deep.
