In New Brunswick,
<taxonomicName class="Insecta" family="Staphylinidae" genus="Lathrobium" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Lathrobium debile" order="Coleoptera" pageId="5" pageNumber="278" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="debile">Lathrobium debile</taxonomicName>
was found in a silver maple swamp, a red oak and silver maple forest, a red maple swamp, a mixed forest, an alder swamp, an old-growth eastern hemlock (
<taxonomicName class="Pinopsida" family="Pinaceae" genus="Tsuga" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Plantae" lsidName="Tsuga canadensis" order="Pinales" pageId="5" pageNumber="278" phylum="Tracheophyta" rank="species" species="canadensis">Tsuga canadensis</taxonomicName>
(L.) Carr.) forest, and along a river margin. Most adults were sifted from leaf litter on the forest floor or near stream margins. One individual was found under drift material on a river margin. Adults were collected during April, May, and June.
