can be reliably identified by the following features: male honey-bee mimic; pilose katepimeron; transverse bands of pale pollinosity on the second, third and fourth terga usually narrow and weak, and reduced or slightly disconnected at middle; proleg with black tarsus and first yellow tarsomere with dark apex; the ventral surface of tarsus of mesoleg with conspicuous, strong, black spines and pale yellow pile; and the apex of hind tibia with a broad triangular projection ventrally.
