longer than wide, weakly narrowed behind eyes, densely punctured; punctures close together, nearly touching; frons narrow, ½ as wide as base of rostrum, with median longitudinal linelike groove and pale coarse forward projecting reclinate setae; gena subequal in length to ½ diameter of eye; eyes large, longitudinal diameter distinctly longer than length of rostrum.

1 ½ times longer than wide; widest near declivities; striae strongly impressed; intervals distinctly convex, narrower than width of striae; most elytral setae semi­erect and directed postero­laterally; double row of semi­erect to reclinate setae associated with elytral interspaces; scattered erect setae on elytral intervals; next to last strial row joins last strial row at middle of elytra. Female: Same as male except rostrum longer, more arcuate, almost as long as head; rostral width at apex 1/3 wider than frons; frontal pubescence finer, less dense; antennae inserted near basal 1/3 of rostrum; and antennal club distinctly shorter than the funicle.
