Stromata circular, ellipsoid or irregularly shaped, sometimes confluent, slightly convex, light to dark brown,

diam., surrounded by a black line within the substrate; perithecia monostichous or distichous, singly erumpent, 200 300 µm diam., with short and stellate at the top ostiolar necks. Asci cylindrical, paraphysate, 2530 × 57 µm in spore bearing part, stalks of different length, containing 8 biseriate ascospores, apical ring tiny and amyloid. Ascospores one-celled, allantoid, slightly yellowish, very thin, 7.59 µm long.
