<paragraph pageId="9" pageNumber="84">Etymology. Specific name quadrispinata, an adjective derived from the Latin prefix quadri- (four) and Latin adjective spinatus (spiny), referring to the four spines on the posteroventral margin of the right valve in both sexes.</paragraph>
