Perennial herbs. Stems erect, surface pilose-villose. Leaves simple, alternate or in rosette, sessile or petiolate; lamina obovate, oblanceolate, puberulous glandular; margin crenate, slightly serrate, dentate to entire; apex acute or obtuse, base cuneate to attenuate, chartaceous. Capitulescences terminal and axillary, spicate. Capitula discoid, tubular, clusters supported by foliaceous bracts, homogamous, florets bisexual and fertile. Phyllaries 8, in 2 series, decussate, persistent, oblong, outer surface puberulous. Florets 4; corollas white, glabrous, lobes 5, zygomorphic. Anthers
